Raptor Vision – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Raptor Vision.

By booking, paying for, or attending any experience with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms operate alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee that applies under the ACL.

1. Weather Policy Bird of prey experiences are highly weather-dependent for the safety and welfare of our animals.

We will postpone a session if conditions include (but are not limited to):

  • Rain or drizzle

  • Storms

  • Wet or muddy ground

  • Strong or unpredictable wind

  • Extreme heat or humidity

  • Any other conditions that may risk bird safety or welfare

If we postpone due to weather:

  • The session is rescheduled, not cancelled.

  • Your booking remains valid.

  • We will offer multiple alternative dates and work with you to find a suitable time.

Refunds are not provided for weather postponements where we are able to reschedule the experience within a reasonable timeframe. This approach is consistent with standard practice for weather-dependent outdoor and wildlife experiences.

2. Customer-Initiated Rescheduling

  • 48 hours or more notice: free of charge.

  • Less than 48 hours’ notice: $50 rebooking fee.

  • No-show (failure to attend without prior notice): booking is forfeited and no refund or credit is provided.

3. Refund Policy Raptor Vision provides refunds only where required by the Australian Consumer Law or where we are unable to supply the booked experience within a reasonable time.

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Weather postponements (where rescheduling is offered)

  • Change of mind

  • Personal circumstances

  • Scheduling conflicts

  • Customer illness or inability to attend

  • No-shows

Your booking will be honoured by resupply (rescheduling) wherever reasonably possible.

Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis if we are unable to provide the service within a reasonable timeframe, or if a major failure under the ACL applies.

4. Medical & Special Circumstances If a participant becomes medically unable to attend:

  • We can issue an open-ended credit with no expiry date, or

  • You may transfer the booking to another person at no cost.

We will deal with genuine medical situations compassionately. Refunds are not automatic and are considered individually.

5. Animal Welfare & Safety Raptor Vision reserves the right to modify, shorten, pause, or adjust any experience if required for:

  • Bird welfare

  • Sudden weather changes

  • Safety concerns

  • Behavioural factors

Such adjustments do not automatically entitle you to a refund where a substantial experience is still provided.

All participants must follow staff instructions at all times. Failure to do so may result in the experience being ended early with no refund.

6. Photography & Media You are welcome to take your own photos and videos for personal use.

Raptor Vision may take photos or video during the experience and use them for marketing and promotional purposes. If you do not want images of yourself or your group used in this way, please tell us before or at the start of the session.

7. Risk Acknowledgement & Liability Wildlife experiences involve inherent risks, including but not limited to scratches, bites, falls, or reactions from animals.

By participating you:

  • Acknowledge these inherent risks.

  • Agree to follow all safety instructions given by staff.

  • Accept that you participate at your own risk to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our recklessness).

8. Acceptance By booking, paying for, or attending any Raptor Vision service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
